What happens at the door

Step by step, from home to the reception desk and back. No gaming tips – only the practical side. Details differ: check the casino’s website.

Schematic order of a first visit: door, cloakroom, reception with ID check, then the areas in this orderDoorCloakroomReception · IDAreas Order and rooms differ from house to house.
Schematic, not to scale.
  1. Check the day

Look at the casino’s website on the day: regular hours, special days, events. Our closing-days page shows the known exceptions.

  2. Plan the way back

Find your last connection home before you leave and set your own end time. See Getting home.

  3. Bring your ID

A valid national ID card or passport. Do not rely on a driving licence.

  4. Cloakroom

Coats, jackets and larger bags usually go to the cloakroom. Whether it costs anything differs by house – check the website.

  5. Reception

Staff check your ID and your age and compare your data with the OASIS exclusion system. Many houses register you as a guest; some charge a small entry fee.

  6. Inside

The slot area and the table area are often separate rooms with their own hours and sometimes their own dress code. You are free to look around, eat or have a drink – no one has to play.

  7. Photos

Taking photos inside the gaming areas is usually not allowed. Ask the staff.

  8. Leave on time

Stick to the end time you set at home – and to your budget. If it gets hard, help is free and anonymous.
